Seventh Annual Information Literacy Summit

Quality and Shared Responsibility

Registration is now open.  See details below.

Join us for the seventh annual Information Literacy Summit, "Quality and Shared Responsibility," in which we will explore the relationship between collaboration, sharing responsibility, the quality of instruction, and the learner's success.

Highlights

Information Power to the People

All Summit locations feature Dane Ward, Associate Dean of University Libraries, Milner Library, Illinois State University. Dane will discuss the "Information Power to the People: Investigating the Feasibility of an Illinois Center for Information Literacy" LSTA grant.  For both the Illinois Central College summit and the John A. Logan College summit, Dane will be the keynote speaker.

Special Speaker at Moraine Valley

Dr. Sylvia Jenkins, dean, Academic Development and Learning Resources, Moraine Valley Community College.  Sylvia has committed her 30 years as a librarian and educator to the belief that learning is a shared responsibility between the student and an institution's administration, faculty and staff.  Quality is best achieved when all actively participate in learning goals.
